The Ukrainian Center in Whippany, NJ is starting a humanitarian aid drive to help the victims of the Russian War Against Ukraine of 2022.

Collection Date: March 5 and 6, 12 PM – 4 PM
Bring Aid To UACCNJ, 60 North Jefferson Rd, Whippany, NJ 07981

 

Below is a list of items that are needed:

  • Nonperishable food
  • Clothing for children, women, and
    Thermal underwear
    Hygiene products
    Blankets
    Bedding
  • Disposable forks, spoons, knives, plastic plates, cups, etc,
  • Tents, mattresses, and sleeping bags
  • Stand-alone lamps
  • Candles
  • Containers for liquid
    (10-20 liters)
  • First aid supplies and first aid kits
    including Bandages, Tylenol,
    Advil, aspirin
  • Homeostatic bandages
  • Paper Towel

  • From Army Supply Stores: MRE Meals ready to eat Tactical Glasses
  • Ultraviolet flashlights
    • tactical footwear (sizes 39-46 European) Men’s US sizes 6-13
      But most Men’s US sizes 10-12

Instructions:

      1. Read through the list of items needed.
      2. Choose 1 or 2 items and buy a lot of them.
      3. Buy shipping boxes (small or medium) in Home Depot.
      4. Pack the items neatly into a box. The packed box must be ready to ship.
      5. If it is clothes, they must be
        • new or nearly new
        • clean
        • sorted and folded
      6. Type up an itemized list of everything you packed.
        (e.g. 10 pairs of men’s thermal underwear, 5 blankets, etc.)
      7. Tape the packing list to the box.
      8. Please bring your box to the center or to a designated drop-off point.
      9. There will also be a Donation Box to help with shipping costs. Any leftover funds will
        be passed on to Ukrainian charitable organizations providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

Real important (What NOT to do):
Do not pack unsorted clothes and other items into garbage bags or shopping bags.
Do not donate old, used dirty clothes.
Our volunteers do not have time to sort.
